With summer getting into high gear, it is a true pleasure to stroll through Morningside Park on a beautiful day.  One of its treasures is the Morningside Park Farmer’s Market, which happens every Saturday on the east side of the park at 110th Street and Manhattan Avenue.  Each year, the market grows in its diversity of offerings, and this summer the organizer Community Markets has arranged for  the addition of a purveyor of fresh fish. Suppliers to the market also include Alex’s Tomato Farm, Bread Alone, Horman’s Best Pickles, and Valley Shepherd Creamery.  As a special treat on June 26, come and watch Chef Emily whip up a seasonal dish using fresh ingredients, and she’ll send you off with a recipe and a taste!   And after the market, I would recommend spending a quiet moment by the nearby waterfall, and let me know what you see sunning on the rocks…smile!

Enjoy exploring…
